Look, your DISCIPLINE (or lack thereof) is YOUR problem. facts are facts. And the facts could not care one iota about your weaknesses.
The facts are Dean Ornish's research is the only definitive proof out there at this. The rest of what you say is a mix of uninformed opinion, pure spec, wishful thinking and selective perception.
No one here has characterized the diet espoused by Dean Ornish. No one here is even close. That means no one here is reading the link.
Don't just believe whatever feels good or right. GET THE FACTS!

We're talking diets and proof here.
And we've already had this conversation in this thread. You're at least the 3rd person to bring up these issues.
Which horse you gonna stake your life on, that's what you must answer.
Stake my life on? Umm, hello? You're acting as if anyone who does Atkins or is looking into their carb intake is going to try and live on the induction stage for the rest of their life. This diet has made me think more of what I eat in terms of processed sugars, that, as much as portion size, will help in the long term.

OK, if you must have your way, please provide one study showing heart disease reversal on Atkins diet.

Its so funny you said this because i read his column and he specifically said " the High fat atkins diet"....which is a LIE!! He doesn't know what he is criticizing and he has NO PROOF whatsoever that atkins is un safe....in fact, the proof is in the pudding in that all the new studies are showing LOWFAT HIGH CARB =HEART DISEASE....i did read what he said about the complex carbs....but while it may fill you up so you take in less food...the bottom lin is that its not good NOR IS IT NORMAL to take in that many carbs.....talk to any dentist and they will tell you that we ar carnivores...we have 4 sharp teeth for cutting meat...carbs have been a 20th century poison that is now responsible for a diabetes and obesity epidemic int he county.
