trading using moving averages

i used the above to go long
the 4 ema is the white line.exit will be on the bar that breaks the low of the bar that closes below the 4 ema.
the context is not a strong down trend so not perfect but i used a bit of price action too to enter.
this worked alright but the probability was little less because the context was not perfect View attachment 208771

this happened without any scheduled data release but may have been some unexpected rumor or news

sold eurusd not a ma sell but a context sell a tight channel the only thing to do is sell

if you can read context you can enter on a indicator setup or price action or both and it will work.
it takes a few minutes to learn a set up.

and it takes years of trading experience to understand context.

if you do not know context set ups will fail.......

How do you plan to exit your trades?

exit a buy when a sell signal triggers.
but if the context is a tight channel then do not trade this setup OR ANY SETUP.

just trade the context.

like in this chart do not look for setups JUST SELL AND PUT A WIDE STOP

trading is about determining context and then looking for a set up to enter.

this is why 90% of traders lose ...they do not understand context but they love set ups.

set ups can be taught. context has to learnt.

Brooks is hated, by some, because he teaches context and not set ups.
