Trading using a ladder screen vs L2 screen

I have always used an L2 screen to trade, but always curious about people who use a ladder screen to trade.

Is there an advantage to using a ladder?

L2 screen - A screen that shows many many layers of bids and offers

ladder screen - A ladder that shows many many layers of bids and offers

L2 screen = ladder screen

L2 screen = ladder screen

I am curious about any advantages people see in a ladder over the L2.

max is a bot. He's worthless. Literally zero value add.

L2 is a depth of book including venue. Only shares.

A ladder or DOM can be used across all listed assets. It does not display venue. Volume at price.

My point is your Q is vague.

there are many types of L2 screens.
There are also many types of ladders.

Your question has to be clear /specific.
Use images/illustrations/diagrams to improve clarity.

Let me try this thread again....

Does anyone trade with a Ladder? If so, what do you find advantageous to using it over trading from an L2 screen?

Thank you.

1. If you not have a lot of monitors and scalp both stock and futures.

2. You can see how many dollars, point or ticks you are up or down.

3. When I use a ladder, I use the fule lenght of the monitor, so more price points.

A ladder is just a way to display Level 2 data.

It is very popular among scalpers. So if you want to see the benefits of using a ladder look for scalping techniques.
