Trading Tutors/Courses

I came across a Trader who does 1on1 Tutoring for Futures. Checked out his website and YouTube videos of him trading. There's over 300+ videos of him trading and is an amazing Trader from what I see. The 1on1 tutoring is around $5k. It's 3 months long - twice a week sessions for 60 minutes.

It's a bit pricey but if I can learn what is claimed is taught, then it is worth it. But how does one really know it is worth it? Testimonials of his former students are excellent. Who knows who really wrote them, though.

Has anyone ever utilized a Tutor/Course that was worth it?

We give the markets so much $ during the learning curve, that maybe spending some of that to a Tutor/Course is worth it? The hard part is finding one that is worth paying for. Anyone can sell anything and tell you whatever.

I'm really debating taking this tutoring course. I know there's not going to be this one course/tutor that's going to turn anyone into an amazing Trader, but if it can shed some light, point you in the right direction then it can be worth it. Know what to look for and develop a plan around what is taught.

Anyone have any thoughts or has experience with paying a Tutor or taking a course that helped your trading career?

If you tell us who is the tutor, maybe we can check it out and give you our feedback.
I have taken a course and have to admit that I learned a lot from my mentor. Wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for, so I went in knowing the pitfalls and all.

Only pay if you can actually see him trading live, not after the fact videos.. He should be able to call the trade before he is getting in himself with entry stop and target, all before the trade.

As long as you can see him trading live, rather than after the fact trades..go for it , if his results are good over time, not just one good trade

I disagree with that.....but anyway..that being said, there always HAVE to be teachers, else this world will not progress

Same thing with sports coaches or teachers in schools or colleges, that does not mean we stop paying for education and stop going to school or college

Just have to sift through the BS and find someone who is a bit transparent

There is a monumental difference between Educators i.e. University professors, internal training in investment banks, hedge funds, etc... and those that prey on the dreams and greed of the lazy, aka, Snake oil.

There are no short cuts in learning to trade. There also is no canned trading course, or trading room which will prepare one adequately to become successful. At best they are introductory courses to trading terms, basic pattern recognition, types of indicators and the most rudimentary of entry techniques. Most if not all exclude the most important principle of trading, risk and money management.

Mentors "for hire" are predatory, vile creatures. Successful Mentors who have a desire to teach do not need to charge, they only need to identify individual's they deem worthy to assist, who possess a willingness to learn and put in the hard work and effort.

Your chosen username "edutrade" is rather revealing. It appears you have a vested interest proliferating the efficacy of trading courses and are attempting to profit from newbies. (perhaps your motive in recovering a wasted investment in trading courses is genuine). The username edutrade sure has a snake oil ring to it though... your post(s) reeks of marketing...

Hi fellow traders, So in pursuit of completing my trading knowledge, I went on a spree and purchased loads of courses lol, Some of them were great and helpful in my trading, Some were not.

However I know how expensive getting hold of them can be, thus I am willing to share those for a fraction of the cost, This way I can cut down my cost and so can you

Ive got T3live, SMB, SangLucci, John carter and mostly all the online popular courses

Hit me up if interested in any of them, Just ask what you are looking for and I might just have it

Cheers,
John

If in fact you truly are still a "student" in trading, I imagine you need to hold on to the belief that with enough courses you will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, usually the light you see are the lights from an oncoming train.

I just trade stocks and etf's but recently started with options, Still learning so a long way to go...But have been doing really well this current quarter..im in the room called pristine method trading room, so there is a moderator in there who does options for swing trades, so learnt a lot from him

so you are saying, I am both a marketer and a salesman as well as a student LOL

if I was a marketer, I would not sell all of their courses here for cheap ...

Yes I am a student

I agree with your point, just taking coaching and courses is 100% not going to make you a successful trader, No one can make you a good trader

You can use these courses to know what everyone else knows, and then its all about trial and error, seeing what works for you and what you can follow yourself

because even if there was a great strategy, not everyone will make money off it because of human emotion and our non-ability to stick to our own rules, that has also been my main struggle

But through my education, things slowly sink in and add up. Its just like a sport, You have to practice all day.

and believe it or not..You actually have to trade LOL...you cant come out of a seminar being a pro trader by any means...you have to trade, make errors, practice..improve etc to get where you want to be

all these courses, just basically cut my personal learning time a bit short, than if I just went in all alone with no prior information if that makes sense
