and what happened to 11:00 AND 11:25?? huh? there was a real chance to get caught in the chop.

You have to get some charting service to see what happened 11:00est. I saw intermediate bottom called one day ahead.

11:25 crossed below trendline and had completed CCI divergence so it was a short trade ( to understand this you have to have a 1 min charts ). I f you kept your stops at three points you would enjoyed ride to the 950. If your stop is less then 2 point you would have been stopped out.

Read a rules at the beginning of the post and then apply them. If your method is not profitable with TT then you should change it.

Walther,

what time frames do you mean when talking about MAs and their crossings?

I agree that the other times could have been played as pullbacks, but their potential seemed limited to me compared to playing the pivot rebound ca 9:50.

The 10:30 pullback was close to R2 which was not even reached. The last two times could have been played as a rebound off of the R1 level and the 38% FR, but you would have to be careful because the support at R1 eventually failed. There was little strength in these two rebounds anyway.

1 min time frame but you can use any time frame or method. I am trying to follow rules at the beginning of this tread.
It looks like you are trying to somehow fit R1 or R2 or some other numbers to TT method.
I do not think this is the best way to go about it.
Best way to use TT method is to find simple method of entry and enter only when your entry signal coincides with TT, keep stops tight and you will be doing ok.
It is that simple.

9:45 TT was a textbook example why several indicators are needed. 9:45 was actually minor top but if you followed MA and waited for CCI divergence ( completed by 9:53 ) you should have entered long trade ( with the trend ).
10:25 TT didnot get any confirmation from CCI , no entry signal.

My trades today using my trading system:

9:42, long +8.5 exit 10:52
10:52, short, still open

The entries coincide with those suggested by TT and that's the reason I report them, however they were not inspired by TT.

I do not trade using pivots or R/S but I take them into account and in fact it is possible to trade using them as well. It is simple enough for most people, I would say.

Wally,
How many of your entries coincided with those posted TT this week or previous weeks ?
Thanks,
Walter

Wally, what is the general concept of what you do to put on a trade. I didn't know there was much else other than pivots and s/r. I wouldn't know when to trigger a trade without them.
Thanks.
