Technical Analysis, hmm. There was a guy who was constantly trying to get me to use TA on this thread,
not understanding that this is an experiment that I'm using to add refinements to my
very proprietary models. He even went so far as to post charts and discuss trades that should have been made along the lines of
classical technical analysis. He recently
puked-up a nice sized (well, for me) Long position in the recent downturn, my analytical models
(which this thread helped me put together, btw) said the market was still in a strong uptrend, and this was just a move to
shake-out the
Weak Longs. I also said that the market wasn't ready to sell-off yet, and that it would recover at least to levels that it had opened at.
And it did.
I asked him why didn't he hold his position, he drew some diagonal lines that formed an
"X" and said "well, my analysis showed ..."

The markets are
mean reverting mechanisms driven by FEAR and GREED.
Period ... btw, he wasn't the first experienced trader I saw who took a puke, only to see his position move strongly in his favor shortly thereafter using technical analysis, and he won't be the last.
So much for Technical Analysis. It's good for, well
analysis.
As for the manners part. If you read 1/2 of this thread that
I put together, your clue-less butt should be
thanking me, not talking about MY MANNERS. Especially since the guys who really have a clue, will only give you that ...
a clue. I'm just good with running with'em, don't blame me if you aren't.
Quantity is no substitute for quality.
