JJ,

I just wanted to see if you every thought of looking at the Euro-FX ( EC or 6E on some vendors). I never looked at the pivots, but it can give you some nice trends and at 12.50/tick you can get some nice moves and some nice cash. The ES and NQ suck lately, but the EC is cooking nicely today. Just a suggestion. Might want to look at QM as well- 12.50/tick as well. Just someting to help have different markets to look at . If the ES is crap, more than likely the NQ, ER, Ym are also.

They work fine on the eur/usd. Todays interest rate announcement was a classic. European open price bounced of S1 (which was sitting just above weekly pivot), moved to PP, quickly went to R1, zig-zagged around R1 for a bit then shot up to R2, bounced of it once, came back up bounced of it a second time - BOOM...........and an hour later was back down to S1 threatening weekly pivot - what a ride!! The space between each level is about a quarter of the daily range. At each level price action and cci patterns revealed the next move..

Hey NZD do you use Japan open as your calculation point for days close? gmt+30mins I think. Just wondering in case I ever decide to trade currencies.

Cheers.

I quoted that post because it was germane to the thread. I will try to promote as risk averse a model as possible, going with the basic conept of cutting losses, letting the winners run

I'm waiting for your system to "let the winners begin". LOL

:D :D :D :D

Good question BlowFish. I use GMT midnight as it is 8 am in tokyo and 9 am Sydney. The daily chart on esig (the charts I use), will automatically use this time as well when deciding the "close".

Long @ 1305.5

While the Time Series Forecast is not above the SMA , I would still take the trade, because it isn't going to be when price action is either slow and choppy, or reverses quictly.

Best Regards,

JJ

This is a great suggestion T273, appreciate the info, I'll get these markets setup on my data feed and get together some historical info on them.

Thanks a lot!

I'm betting you don't even trade.

You probably go around flaming (if someone makes calls, explains why to the readers, and you don't understand their system) or stupidly worshiping and cheerleading (if someone just makes calls, and you still don't understand their system) other traders who have the balls to put their stuff out there.

You really add to the quality of the website, and I'm sure traders can't wait to give you their stuff for free.

Cheers moron,

JJ

No prob. You're going to need the Full CME data feed, at least you do with TS. There are other markets such as Yen, Canadian dollar, but the Euro is the most liquid.

I'm sure what company you use for charting, but they should offer a miNY package. You get oil, gas, and some other too.

Just something to think about when you get a 4 or so point range in the es.
