Trading The Hang Seng

Sorry new at the Asian markets.

So MHI is what to trade not HSI ?

Sorry for being really noobie at this, just trying to find something that trades maybe like YM but outside reg' hours. Ideally would be 3am to 6am EST, but they close then :-(

MHI is the mini, trades from 20:45 to 23:30 then a break and another session from 1:30 to 3:30. New-York time.
From 3am to 6am I think London and Paris is the place to go.

thank you

One more question,
is there a future in Europe that has maybe the same vol' or greater than YM ? I looked into Forex (somebody was good to point out that market, but right now didn't care for how the charts flowed) If so what exchange would I need to subscribe to for IB.

Thank you again.

If you want something like YM during these hours, your best bet is DAX which trades on Eurex. It is similar to YM is some ways (30 blue chips in Germany), however the tick value is much great than YM (25 eur per point, min tick is 1/2 point).

HSI is thin (compared to YM),
MHI is even thinner !!!

It is thin compare to the YM, however a trader does not need many contracts to get the same or BETTER results one would need with the YM. Cautions I am when trading the HSI, but the results are very, very fast...positive or negative
