Trading the ES live-the Brooks way

It was never my intention to come across like a condescending SOB, I just wanted to show that it is possible to get to the payout stage with these kind of firms when you control your risk.

Also not sure how my post was of topic since OP is also trying to get a funded account with the same firm and said it was impossible while my post showed otherwise ...
Well, my apology if I came across as too harsh. I just felt it was unnecessary to compare yourself to Padu, no matter what a failed trader he says he has been for the last 20 years. Plus, he is a complete idiot savant when it comes to self-denigration. So don't believe everything the dude spits out of his mouth. Anyway, carry on.

Padu each trading day has 78 5 minute bars. If you click through each bar for an average of 3 seconds, you can look through a day's session in just 4 minutes. With 12 hours of work you'd be through 180 trading days in one pass. I bet if you just took a few days to do two passes of 6 months of market data, you'd learn a lot more than doing what you're doing now. At least you'd start asking yourself the right questions.

But I'll bet anything that in a week or so you would not have invested such time. Instead you'd be back to the same game.

'Cause you are looking for comfort and don't want to do WORK. WORK is what gets you PAID. We are in this business to get PAID. Not to pay others...
Wrong.

trend lines are extremely subjective and so extremely powerful and versatile and, so, if mishandled, can be most destructive.
handle with care. But explore its possibilities.

John Murphy says to use as thick a pencil as possible when drawing S&R and TLs. Great advice.

now Brooks calls this trend line becoming flatter and flatter a broadening of the channel.
Did Brooks really talk about a broadening channel? Sorry but I think you made this shit up.

Suppose the trend is becoming flatter. This only indicates we're heading for a rangebound market. As such, the chance of a trend reversal is also high. So why would you enter here? You'll just get chopped up.
