With 12 hours of work you'd be through 180 trading days in one pass. I bet if you just took a few days to do two passes of 6 months of market data, you'd learn a lot more than doing what you're doing now. At least you'd start asking yourself the right questions.

But I'll bet anything that in a week or so you would not have invested such time. Instead you'd be back to the same game.

Another Trader Expo story. Some Korean guy was about to listen to a presentation, and he taps me on the shoulder and says "I can teach you to trade the S&P! I have a webinar, first week free. It then costs $300, but I allow you to get people in your household to join too. So if your brother, sister, grandmother wants to join they are also included. The secret... is all in the candlesticks!"

I thanked him and said I'm good. Then another guy sat next to me and we were shooting the breeze. I said to him "Unfortunately a lot of this is the blind leading the blind. Most people here just sell services because they can't make enough trading". The Korean guy looked at me with this look like "I guess you know what I'm up to, don't you..."

I believe what I'm reading from you. A guy who has zero focus and no interest in doing hard work. History has proven that this is the cornerstone of all great successes.

I have good news for you though. There is one way you definitely WILL make money in the S&P, though. Buy SPY, and hold, and hold, and hold, and hold. For the next 20 years. All while you do other things with your time. I guarantee you you'll end up with much more money than with what you are doing now.
