Actually, there are some good info in Brooks' books. For example, how to count legs among others. But the way Padu trades, I don't see Al Brooks anywhere. He says he followed Brooks for 20 years. Just what the hell were you reading?

Anyway, there are tons of Youtube vids related to Brooks' methods. They even take their time to explain it in simple english what Brooks meant. So you don't necessarily have to read any of his damn books. What more do you want?
I don't recall him explaining anything Brooks other than that the dude is a genius. Go figure.
I think persistence is 100% necessary in this field.

I don’t remember the leg thing, or maybe I didn’t get that far. But I refer more specifically to actual trading rules or guidelines, as in dos and don’ts. Because the way I remember it, and this goes back years, just about any bar could go one way or the other from his analysis. Which, of course it can, but it doesn’t say much about the specificity of his guidance.
As I recall he essentially takes no directional accountability for his analysis, which makes it nothing more than colour commentary. I don’t need a several-hundred-page book for someone to tell me the price can either go up or it can go down. And since this is pure PA, who gives a shit why? That’s just narrative. And is, therefore, subject to narrative fallacy.

I’m just saying the part of the one returned book I read had no redeeming value. None. I got more useful information from Schwager’s Wizard series or, say, Reminiscences than I did from Brooks’s book. And those other books didn’t claim to teach.C'mon, man.
