Directional Bias - Sideways to Up above 1176.

There are two key entry areas on the NQ today. 1203 and 1176.

Long Entry 1 is at the 1203 area or better.
If the market gives us 1176. Set longs at this level and hold.

Any sustained move below 1176 changes my long bias.

Risk should be below the 1176 level.

ES

Directional Bias - Sideways to Up above 850.50

There are two key entry areas on the ES today. 868 and 850.50

Long Entry 1 is at the 868 area or better.
If the market gives us 850.50. Set longs at this level and hold.

Any sustained move below 850.50 changes my long bias.

Risk should be below the 850.50 level.

Trade Reveiw

NQ

The NQ moved up from the 1203 level in the first 30 minutes of trading, but was met with heavy supply after the Consumer Confidence numbers. Price pushed down through 1203 and fell to to the 1176 entry level. (actual low was 1173). Price moved up strong out of this level to around the 1300 level near the close for a 127 point rally.

ES

The ES moved up in the first 30 minutes out of the 868 level. (actual low in the first 30 min was 867.50). Price then fell back through this level on supply and went on to push through the 850.50 level. (Actual low of 843.50.) Price moved up strongly from this level to around the 940 level. A bullish move of around 97 points.

I am looking to set longs on any move down near the 1285.50 level or better.

Any sustained move below 1285.50 changes my long bias and I would set shorts below here intraday.

Directional Bias - Up above 924.

I am looking to set longs on any push down to the 924 level or better.

Any sustained move through 924 intraday and I will set shorts on a push back up towards 924

Trading Day Review - With the Fed fireworks this afternoon I am closing positions and sitting out until tomorrow.

NQ

The market did move down at the open and I was filled at 1283. Low in the first 15M was 1272.25. I exited the position around 12:15 at 1300 for a 17 point gain.

ES

The ES moved down to 926.25 at the open. My entry was just below 924 entry level so I did not get filled.

how many contracts do you trade per ES and NQ per trade?...how many trades per day?

I'd rather not say how many contracts, but it is more than 1.

I try to position for the expected move and hold until close unless I am wrong. In this case, I will look to reposition intraday if my entry levels for bias change are met.
