We got a mass short this day, because it was the first time a lot of stocks showed some weakness after weeks of strong growth.
Shorts did not follow up.
More than that the market made a new high.
Despite of this losses were manageble.
Many stocks stayed green for us.
Some losses were covered by Xbars.
I must add that it is quite dangerous to short uptrending market near highs.
However, if it works, the profits are huge.
One day like this will make you a month of profits.

We missed several signals due to a mistake in a new version of AntTrader.
That is why we had less transactions then in simulation.
The market has been trending slowly lower all day long.
Kind of following up yesterday's supposed weakness.
Got few XBars that ended up slightly negative.

After a small pullback a day before mass entrance of long positions was initiated.
The market moved higher in the morning and we got a sizable profit quick.
However after that there was a reversle and market moved to new low.
At this moment we still had profit on the portfolio.
The stocks demonstrated a sugnificant strenght.
At the end portfolio closed near its best level of the day despite general market close near the low.

After gap down the market kept trending lower and our trading systems were buying stocks that felt the most.
There were a couple of news stocks that added most to the loss.
The market closed at te lows and our Xbars closed negative for us.
Nothing we can do about it.
This is a negative part of the game.

Hi, Steffan!

We did not trade on 02/01/2013.
However, you can look at hypotetical results on our site.

Regarding sizes. We implemented a new feature in Anttrader.
It allows our clients use dollar amounts along with lot sizes.
For example, we use $10000 per position in our demonsration account.
Let's say, stock is $30 - we'll use 300 size, if $50 we'll use 200 size lot.
No stocks that are north of $100.
This approach allows us to have more stable results.

Our strategies did not produce a positive result despite of a decent move up on the market.
Mostly, it is related with the negativiy surrounding MCO and MHP.
Rather often, XBars would be initiated on the news.
And sometimes, it hurts plenty.
But more often than not ttere is a bounce .
Overall, the statistics are on our side.

We got a very good day for XBars.
Only few transactions that had very little to do with market action.
All day long the positions were in decent profit and as a result very decent profit in the end.

Perfect day for xBars.
Right from the get go the portfolio had a decent profit despite of a market drop. The reason for such a behavior is weak correlation of these stocks to the market.
During first couple of hours quite sizable portfolio was formed and once market started climbing stocks followed up nicely.
Overall, perfect day at the races.
