Trading on "Instynct" (NQ)

Quote from bmwhendrix:

out 06.5 Initials stop at 96. Much larger than I usually use.

Question is: How often was price spending between your old stop and the new larger one before becoming a good trade.. I am considering reducing my stop (currently 3.5) down to 2 to reduce my fear.. In the current environment it seems if you get price levels right a 2pt stop survives.. Easy in hindsight of course.

Good trading guys... I will develop the nerve to get more involved in open session trading..

Keep in mind this is an unusually good day for trading wide swings. Holding for large points will kill you during range bound days, and most days just that!

Using golf metaphor must learn which club to use when. Swinging a driver as hard as you can for 300 yards on every shot will quickly lead to failure. Learn where, when and how to use the "chip shot".

If in the rough, pause get a sandwich err sand wedge :p

How long did it take you (in hours possibly) to be consistantly profitable (on a weekly basis) and how long are you consistantly profitable on a weekly basis?

Thanks

Roughly speaking around 3000 hrs before I saw some profit. So far I have racked up about 4500 hrs trading NQ exclusively. On average I have a losing week (net after commissons) once every 4 or 5 weeks.
