Im just hard to get along with I guess. :(

As most people who know me know, Im pretty opiniated and sometimes that gets me in a lot of horse dung. So here are a few things.

I started trading stocks in 97 after having spent some time getting my ass kicked in the futures market. I found the chatrooms fairly quickly and continued to loose money..actually faster than when I was trading futures. Anyway, after some time I finally figured out what I was doing (late 97, early 98) and started to talk in the chatrooms. I got kicked out of them all for being me, so I figured screw this, I will start my own, no one can kick me out. I did that for awhile and then was in contact with Jef Tappen who was at that time Ken Wolffs marketing guy. Jeff offered me the opportunity to get paid for what I was already doing, so I figured sure why not..we can all use a few extra dollars. I think we started charging in Nov of 1999 with I think 50 or 60 members.

Anyway things went ok until I discovered that I had no respect for Ken or Shawn or their methods..and don't feel bad for either party, Im sure the feeling is pretty much shared on both sides. I know they dont like me either. So, in any case, I didn't like working there and he didnt like working with me so I left. We came to TMTT in Dec of 2000 and brought 160 members with us.

There were some problems there from the start with regard to the business plan and how we fit into it. There were some problems with the web site, the billings etc and I just desided that a better use of my time will be to not have to worry about stuff like that and instead focus on my trading. On a personal level I have no problem with anyone at TMTT, they are great guys and i wish them the best of luck going forward.

So my plans for now are to focus on my trading and not be distracted by other stuff...either business or people I dont like. Im going to open a free room on othernet since everyone still has me banned from theres. Also because I think that with the exception of Chris and Linda (stocktrendwizard), David Bush (who is still with Teachmetotrade), Realitytrader (Chris, Vad, Bo and Russ), and hardrightedge (Alan Farley) and Jay Yu (Underground) the sites I have seen are all putting out garbage and Im going to comptete with them on quality and at the best price (free). Hopefully more of the S*** will sink to the bottom of the sea.

I will again say its a shame that Chris was run off the site here. After having worked with him and learned from him over the last few years, my trading profits much much better.

I wish you'd explain to me how a simple question about his methods and a couple of comments that he was a bit out of line in suggesting that dufferdon was mental constitutes "running off" Chartwiz. Are we just supposed to sit in awed, respectful silence as the self-described master trader, with his two or three years experience, lectures us from Mt. Olympus?

Be sure and let us know when you start your room. I would really like to find a chat site just to shoot the bull while I'm watching the screens. I stopped by the elitetrader site for a day but the problem with those yahoo sites is that it seems anybody can jump in at any time and say anything they want. I would prefer a restricted room of some sort to avoid the spam and the psychos.
 
I made a couple of trades today both were short sells. I am still not confident about going long and that will probably hurt my profits but for now I have to do what is comfortable for me. I usually look for stocks that have crappy looking daily charts and choose the worse out of the bunch. Today I didn't really follow this strategy because I was strayed by what I heard and read about Ford. I watched Ford at the opening watched it bounced up from the opening to 17.49 and once it broke down again below 17.43 I put a sell order in ( no bullets) and shorted 500 shares at 17.39 I shorted another 1000 at 17. 34. My stop was going to be 17. 48. because that was yesterdays support and now became todays resistance. I covered 1000 shares at 17.19 for a measly 150 profit after commissions. I just got scared because the market was jamming. I held onto the 500 shares and added another 500 shares at 16.85. I am now holding 1000 shares short overnight. I usually don't hold positions overnight but F closed almost at its low for the day and I have enough cushion I believe (unless it opens up a point) to allow me to follow its trend.
I have just started trading listed stocks so I am sure I will be changing my strategy here and there. Mostly I follow support and resistance and I am starting to incorporate other indicators to my R and S levels. One of these indicators are Volatility Bands which are derived from pricing options. I let you now how this trade turns out tomorrow.
 
I was asked to look at this link just now, I cannot belive that there is a poll for chartwiz ! amazing, there are good people out there uh ? I always felt that......... .......but the great thing is , the poll is positive , Over 9400 views on my thread & 90% of the poll is positive, at least there is some positive.....Excuse my spelling below but i am going to type this post here & on my thread & go to sleep.......

I am sorry things got out of hand as they did & I only was looking at the positive side of things to share with others , not to hype my site or take away from the quality of the board, I actually had in my links, this site on my site & had a link also to my thread, so was I hyping elite ? no I was sharing with MY members on MY site that elite was good & had a great quality & wanted them to see the site also & also yes I wanted others to see my work on my site, whats wrong with that........nothing.........nobody was knocking me for bringing new members to this site, works 2 ways, give & take in this life & I gave members & I also was able to share what I do.........I have my own website & I am proud to share my work , why not ? I do good work & I have lots of emails proving this fact. I have a chatroom, but some of the members here act as if I am promoting it, should I hide the fact I have a succssful business ? no....did I invite anybody to come & pay me money ? or some see it or anything NO , I am not looking for that I not expecting anything from it or care to, to me its as if i have to hide what I do in life to post on a site to share with others, why ? I had my service & my site long before I showed up on elite & I am not intending to give up my business & my site for anybody, but I do want to protect my name & credibilty, nothing wrong with that.............

Was it fair that I send my members from my website to see this board only to see my work laughed at & questioned/attacked by a few people that cannot relate to it ? was it fair ? no..........as a professional & as a fair person, I would have rather had any negetives thru a private message & not for 9,000 people to view, anybody could pick apart somebody in public, I could have went to each thread & found something wrong, but thats not my nature, rather than spouting out what I dont agree on, I showed my own work & what I do.......but thats a bad thing, if dufferdon or one of his buddies was in my shoes , how would they have felt ? the same I would imagine.......especially when its 5 against 1, I would only due harm to myself if i was to enter into a tit for tat bout with dufferdon & his buddies.......why would I do that to myself ? I try to keep the quality of work I do at a higher level that whats out there.....

I did not expect to be attacked over my chart examples....& from there it grew to a personal attack from dufferdon, why ?


I do apologise for reacting the way I did but I was not planning to have others challange me negetivly & I am not familair with these boards at all, asking for somebodys account statments online or on the internet is not a fair thing to do to anybody........, it really is a persons private business unless they are soliciting money or need to show it off. why would i do that ? .attacking me saying I am promoting a commerical business & on & on.....come on....I dont need elite to promote my business, and so what, if somebody wanted to see my chatroom is that bad ? did i hurt anybody from a free trial they got ? no......who cares really what others do.......why attack people that try to do the right thing by sharing thier knowledge ? I just still cannot see this point......makes me laught to see this.......

....I am new to this world of boards, I was invited by somebody to do work on SI & this site, brandon actually........, I have to say thank you to those that polled to want me back & I will take the weekend to consider things, I have had a ton of emails requsting I come back & forget the nonsense & kiss & make up with dufferdon & his gang, No ....I dont have to do that, I have no problem with anybody, I am above that & not a child......I had also spoken to a few people on the phone & that made me feel good & I feel like i am letting others down because of a few people that dont see things the way I do or think I am doing something wrong, again I would enjoy posting again if I felt it would be a postive , I just request to dufferdon, aaabeltway & gang, if you do not like my work if i return to start up again, please just dont ruin it for others.......its not right....if you have something to contribute, please do, if you dont like my work, dont ruin it for others.......please.......I will think about it over the weekend ........have a nice weekend....Chris

I know those questioning his account balance, his backtesting, his motives, etc. with staunchly defend their approach. And I've read dufferdon's offerings on MSN, along with the other skeptics postings here, but when I think of the potential wealth of knowledge that Chris was offering at Elite Trader, it's a shame he feels driven away, that it's just not worth the hassle, and it's a loss. Pure and simple.

very well said magna.. ever single person who brings experience to this board is attacked as a fraud if they happen to also sell a product or service related to trading.. why? because when you are a success, you become a target of those who wish to gain status by "shutting you up".. very sad.. Tony, Don and now Chris.. i think it would be a great idea to utilize the ignore feature when someone unduly attacks you.. that way you can continue to focus your efforts communicating with those who appreciate the experience that you bring to this forum..

sounds to me like there are more of us out there who love what you do and don't want to see you go than there are nay-sayers. i can definately understand your feelings for your decision though as, unfortunately, people with something to complain about are often more vocal than those who don't and instead love what you do. a phrase comes to mind i heard on a movie, Galaxy Quest i believe it was: "Never give up! Never surrender!" :)

However, I also have to say that the questions that you were asked were not completely out of line in my opinion. Since you do offer a pay-for service, you should get used to questions about your performance. You can choose to ignore them, or you can choose to put the answer right in their face like I do.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter. I will post my trades, my P&L for a certain period of time in question, my daily and monthly schedules, the total number of trades I make, etc., etc., etc., only to receive emails from those who still think I am a fraud. Last week, I put one of them on the spot and told him that it was very gutsy of him to send the email he did. "Are you brave enough to email me your number or call me," I asked .... and he emailed me his number. I called him and he told me this:

"I am struggling in the market and needed to blow off steam. I am a student of your book and am jealous of your success. I am terribly sorry."

I swear, these were his words. So, we spoke on the phone for over two hours, and he suffers from the 9/11 syndrome, and he missed the big move in the marketas a result, while he was waiting for Nasdaq 1000 to come. Then he was waiting for a pullback, and you all know it did not come. So, he needed someone to blame, and I was there for him to blame :) I told him, whatever works, I'll take the blame just get on with it and get over the lost opportunity. The bulls are back in control.

Anyhow, I have to run back in. I'm not supposed to be on the laptop. I convinced Jodi that we needed it for the digital camera :) I'm upset that I missed a great day in the market while traveling, but I'm looking forward to the cruise this weekend evethough there will be no Internet time.

PS: I took it to heart that more than 30% think that I abuse the boards, but after discussing it with a couple senior members here, I decided to stay and encourage those 30% that hate what I post to simply put me on ignore :)
