Trading Mentor?

  • read every book, magazine, youtube, online etc. thing you can get your hands on or lay your eyes on. then do it all again at least 3 times, don't try and make sense of it just read.
  • work for a trading firm where they really make money - take a job as a janitor or anything to get close to the action. express your passion be sincere and humble.
  • in 10 years you might have accumulated enough info to proceed blowing out your 1st of many accounts.
  • congratulations you know you need a mentor.
  • don't tell anyone you have been trading cause a mentor will not want to hear they have to undo bad habits and conceptions.
  • remember if you could really trade now then you don't need help.
Wow! This is great. I appreciate the words of wisdom. I will take this all in. Thank you for your reply. I really do appreciate it. Take Care!

Exactly\ amazing how all these years/ AmteeVan;
a 50 day moving average+ 200 day moving still average helps.
I had planned on holding XLK[+ TECL..... SSO.... OILD] much longer, like cash + SPYG;
but TECL looked like it may not stay above 200day moving average. So good trade/ exit.
Nothing in this post is a buy recommendation; may get back in XLK... SSO OILD,later??
WELL the sky's the limit/ no price to high\
better than the apple of your eye.
Late last night i had a crazy dream/ i dreamed i met a man with a money machine-
Money in The Bank Song-John Anderson>>1,077,788Video Views.
Capital markets are not really money machines, but good song +IBD books help a lot, a little like a money machine, with work+ lots of work:caution::caution:
WOw SCHW brokerage + many of them pay 4.44+% ,on cash money market/ have to be even more selective on trades+ investments.
I think a lot of stuff may stay above 200dma, but if not\ OILD is above 50 day moving average so 50 or 200 can work well. Wisdom is profitable to direct.....................

Just a blip of a place. Like being from Intercourse, Pennsylvania, hehe (I'll let you look that one up, since it is personal.)

Hello! I have developed a passion for trading and am looking for guidance or mentorship on trading. I have been self taught from a small library of trading books (The Playbook by Mike Bellafiore, Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas, Volume Price Analysis by Anna Coulling, and Short Selling with the O'Neil Disciples by Gil Morales). I do swing and position trade the markets, and all of my charts are handmade, and any indicator that I may decide to use is also calculated by hand (SMA, Pivotpoints, etc.). I have been a voracious student of the markets for the last four years.Along with my charting, trading, and studying, I log my trades as well as write a review and keep a daily psych log. I also put together a playbook of my favorite trades. Sadly, I have limited access to any sort of technology as I am only given information from my father, who acts as my broker, and a stock service. I am working to be proactive in finding the outside support needed to help guide me so that upon my release, I am able to dive into trading as my profession. I have the committed drive, determination and passion to move forward and make trading my career choice. I'm uncertain as to if posting this will aide in my quest to find someone to help mentor me, but I'm willing to try. Trading is not just what I do, but it is who I am.

I appreciate the time taken to read my request and I look forward to speaking to anyone who may be interested in reaching out.

God Bless, Michael

Dear Michael,

I could offer mentorship in return for work in updating my database - which needs to be done manually (i.e. not automated) - but you will need a computer and the internet.

I will PM

God bless you.
