Trading Journal, November

You guys crack me up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know I had so many fans!!!!!!!!!!! Why should I ? :p

Well just to follow up on my trading today, I was down again, -$200, after commission and bullets, I was up gross $500, can you imagine that?

I traded 22000 today, don't know why. I guess I just saw a lot of things that weren't there.

My biggest mistake was having an opinion about the market, I thought the market was going to be choppy and I have to book my profit but I was wrong, which is OK but when I didn't adjust to the other side when I was wrong then I am not going to make any money.

Some of us guys went out and talked about our trading today, took some edge off as we all struggled this week. No excuse, since I want to be number 1 in the firm, I have to expect better results for myself.

Today was easy and hard, I had a great opening and I let the EOG loss ruin my day, still have to learn how to detach my emotions from trading.

Tomorrow will be the last day of the month, I am down over $700 this week, hope I can get in the black by tomorrow, worst case scenario, I want to be down no more that 200 for the week.

Mr. V was down again today( -$400 ) as he blew $400 on HRB, stupid but he did it cause making $200 doesn't cut it anymore. I second that, but still this is a marathon not a sprint. Incidentally, he is contemplating quitting by the end of the year if things don't improve, or jump ship somewhere else. Who knows, maybe I'll do the same. But I will not give up, this is just the beginning, and I just got upgraded to 500 shares, I will make bigger money soon.


Mr.K down $200 for the day too.

Mr.C down another 3K today, yeowch !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we are in bad shape here. Just hope I have a magic wand, to take the chop out of the market!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow is Friday, my biggest day on Friday was $1100, A REPEAT I AM SURE, I AM SURE, I AM POSITIVE, I AM CONVINCED, I HAVE FAITH, I AM ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, HUNDRED PERCENT KNOW THAT I WILL MAKE MONEY TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can appreciate how you feel about being down.. trust me, i know what its like.. but the market does not know that you are down for the week.. and the market doesnt care about your p&l.. will the market offer you 500 dollars tomorrow? maybe, maybe not.. but if you convince yourself that its there before the game even begins, then you may find yourself trading based on what you want the market to do rather than what its actually doing.. i cant tell you how many times ive started a day trying to regain a loss only to have my head handed to me.. in my opinion its best to approach each day as a seperate day.. one day has no bearing on the next.. remove all thought from the day before.. can yesterdays rain fall on todays earth? or can tomorrows sunshine cast its warmth to the present? of course not.. then let the loss of yesterday stay buried in yesterday, and greet the new day with no anger, no regret, no bitterness, no revenge.. just the curiosity of a child at play..

There may be more, but I know of 8 since July. You have to truly wonder about someone who feels the need to change his name every 3 weeks or so. Is he trying to hide from us, or himself? Disturbing.

Yesterday, it was a little disturbing to find that there are a few people at this firm that are ultra competitive, to the point of being so cut throat, it is disgusting. THEY WILL NOT SHARE ANYTHING WITH YOU. Not that I am asking for a handout or anything, but if you people think that there is ONE !@#$%^ SECRET out there and you figured it out and don't tell anyone because you are so !@#$%^ afraid that someone else is going to learn it and you lose your edge, !@#$ you, don't any of you !@#$%^& come to me for an help. I will not share a thing with these LOWLIFES.

There I said it, I have to get it out on the open so that it doesn't eat me up inside. I will prove all you !@#$%^& wrong, and that no man is an island.

I know the sort of people you are talking about... bear in mind that they are being competitive because there are significant financial advantages (not to mention basic kudos) to being a ranked trader at a proprietary trading firm... I am happy to share my "secrets" (applicable to all time frames), which we ALL know anyways:
1) trade with the trend of the stock, and understand support and resistance
2) trade with the trend of the general market
3) adhere to your stop losses
4) try to remain emotionally detached

The above applies to tape reading and/or technical trading and/or daytrading and/or swingtrading ... in my opinion, these are universal trading "secrets".
