Trader's mentality - utilize capital to make whatever - while only risking a very small % of said capital on each trade

Trading has more inherent risk and potential to break your ass, than gambling ever thought about having!

Very true and nicely put @Redneck . Also, your second link has some very good points, which I agree with for the most part.

When I said that "There is a very fine line between gamblers and traders", it was in the context of what I had responded to. The earlier poster has referred to the obsessive and compulsive nature of coming back to "pluck the leaves off the money tree", despite having fallen off it multiple times.

To a seasoned trader, you are right in saying that the "very fine line" is a million miles apart.
