My guess is that africatrader will be swallowed by the plains, devoured by the lions, or chewed up by the hyenas. In the end, all that will be left will be a few nickles and dimes and a few interesting posts. Though beaten, he will not be humbled, nor give up hope. He will reincarnate himself under a fresh alias with 5k to trade, another simple trading method, and begin another thread insulting those who do what he can't do....Trade for a living.

Kiwi trader simply wanted to know why the very intelligents like yourself find it so hard to accept that there is some ease in trading?

Thanks for the negative comments, but I did not want to impose myself on anybody. the fact that I am a biologist was to illustrate that approching trading in ALL scienes and galore does not neccessarily work. There are people out there who maybe will benefit from what I said, maybe they will try and approach trading from a different perspective. I said it is for "dumb" people, not to insult the person per se, but I meant the approach must be dumb. If you reckon it should all be scientific, i will respect that. I will want to see how you go about it and why a scientific approach is working. No one including me has bragging rights to claim that only my approach is right.

For your information I do not need to trade for a living as I am a very successful business person with interest in tourism. I have lodges and a travel company, and other investments. Ironically I also make very good money by taking people on safari to see the plains of Africa, the lions on the plains and the hyenas that scavenges after the lions.

I also have a private ranch with a 9 hole golf course.

I also make good money being a consultant for the government as a microbiologist.

Why must I choose to life of trading, when I am not desperate. In the beginning I told you i trade as a hobby, and I still do better than you do. Yes trading can make me EXTREMELY wealthy , but I have reach most of the goals I set for myself in life. I am 36 years old. Now try and beat that.

I have set up a fund to assist kids at college who cannot advance in life because of disadvantage backgrounds. I know where I come from and has been fortunate that I am successful in my terms. what have you contribute today, to the world or someone out there. Again I say there is more to life than insulting people you do not agree with. I RESPECT INDIFFERENCE, NOT CHOSEN IGNORANCE. Maybe we should close this tread, as I did not anticipate this to insult the very successful and intelligent traders.
 
Professions like microbiology require quite a bit of intelligence and the ability to think critically. You have demonstrated none of these abilities.

I would guess that you are in insurance sales, cosmetic sales, food service or possible a low level bureaucrat sitting at a desk in some small town. That would be about the best you might hope for.

I don't blame you for trying it out. These folks will believe just about anything. No sale here however.

I agree that a K.I.S.S. method is best. But one must be able to filter through a lot of information out there first and suit a system to their psychology, goals, and lifestyle. They also need to be disciplined and stick to an idea. An idea that works is hard to come about, since trading is usually an individual pursuit, and the only way to know if an idea works is to trade it. If it doesn't work, then negative results can have an adverse effect on your emotions and will.

I haven't read the whole thread, but you are lucky I suppose. I assume you understand those indicators and it tells you something about the underlying sentiment and probable direction. How often are you right? i.e. Profitable compared to scrap or loss. You are also able to get out of trades that don't work, and pyramid (I assume) into trades that are working, which throws your reward to risk ratio way out there.

Can you post your trades for those interested?

Next time, instead of saying trading is for dumb people you should write good trading is boring, you would get more positive responses and you would be saying the same thing, basically.
Now I understand little better why that EGO thing is so hard to overcome for most people.

It is difficult to say why so many people came to the forks in the road where they made poor decisions for moving along into the place where they are stuck now.

Choosing the work of Appel and Wilder, who have such small overlap, is an interesting construct and it applies well to a market. (I would not choose to trade this market, however, because of its potential).

Your method is kean (including the defaults chosen) and your results will continue to be on the mark.

You observe, well, the causes of failure in the ET crowd that engage with you. You nicely imply that most have never seen the market and fewer even get to rationally apply anything to trading because of their places in the infinite scheme of things. They provide a very thorough confirmation of how life style and irrationality continually derail any potential achievements.

It is strange that ET no longer has any capability to entertain an fruitful exchange that, possibly, could help a person out here or there.

Your approach, as a hobbiest, is simple, comprehensive (sufficient) and right on the mark as a result of savoring and digesting the input of others who were able to support the transference of the individual and integrated values of a sufficient set of tools to get the job done.

I am sure some of your character and attitude is conveyed positively to others who cross paths with you in your businesses and pleasures in your life. I have had a lifelong affiliation with Africa in many ways and it is rewarding me accordingly.

WHO is embarking on an effort soon (I have been invited to participate) so who knows maybe our paths will cross.

My question is this can only inherently dumb people succeed, or can smart people become dumb enough if they really try hard?

Ironic.:Thread starter says trading is for dumb people, then goes on to describe his trading. hmm in my book that's calling yourself dumb. Who am I to disagree?
