I've been buying the whole time. For a while, based on some of the posters and topics here I couldn't tell if I was on Elite Trader or ZeroHedge or the Huffington Post. Certain posters act like they have their entire identity wrapped up in bearish disposition and it got pretty obnoxious. One guy in particular calling for the moderators to ban other posters who were being bullish. Deplatforming in my ET? It's more likely than you think. At any rate watching these guys foaming at the mouth getting BTFO'd during this rally has just filled me with spasmodic glee. Maybe we get lucky and the pro boys take us down for another dive to try to shake the tree some more but with plenty of cash still on the sidelines I look at it as another buying opportunity.
This bearish fever dream that we're going into some kind of multi-years Depression is laughable. But there's a certain cognitive bias that causes people to assign greater authority to pessimistic viewpoints so the social animals keep coming. Too bad social status on a web forum doesn't pay the bills.

It's been occurring both ways...tons of people say to Short but no verification they're doing such and tons of people saying to go Long but no verification they're doing such.
You should have been here for the dot.com days when the bubble burst...nothing new. The markets going Up...many cheerleading to buy and then it rolled over south...many cheerleading to Short.
It's nothing new. Just the nature of the internet and anonymous user names. People just letting off some steam or need a few pat on the back from others they do not really know.
Reality, its meaningless. I've heard it all - the boys, price drivers, my people, the cartel, my guys...many nicknames coined by so many here that have come and gone over the years.
Simply, its just a cheerleading competition with the biggest pompoms.

my boyz theory though, beautifully explained everything since 2009, and during the past weeks, explained and predicted, play by play, what the boyz been doing.... on up days and down days.

From his post I could sense @Axon is the real deal. No verifications needed. After all this is an anonymous forum with anonymous posters and we are not selling education services, mentorship, web subscriptions or books.
It takes guts to buy when others are dumping and he has my respect.
SPY since 1993 - 1994 are the real big boyz (pom pom girls)...still the leaders and quietly doing such without any need for pom poms.
They've seen it all with > 260 Billion in assets.
QQQ > 73 Billion in assets.
Please practice first without the pom poms...its easy. When you're ready, you can then try pom pom trading with music @ 4:13 time of the video.
You may be wondering why I've been posting a few cheerleading videos.
I heard that when the SPY launch on a very cold winter day back in 1993, there was several tacky promotions including a local band with local cheerleading squad. The ladies (not boyz) were bouncing around with pom poms.
Don't forget a key element...they both are dividend payers/payors. Anyone truly holding these long term would have mention such.

Hate to admit, you called it correctly.
In fact, it seems to me that whether you will be successful in the market and whether trading will be accessible and interesting for you depends largely on whether you have found strategies and approaches that you can apply qualitatively in the market. I think it is not very easy, because the amount of information in our time is incredible, and in order to find something rational and useful for yourself you usually need to analyze the global amount of data...
It seems to me that many traders do not manage to find something that will help them at least on a permanent basis even over the years of trading. And this creates real difficulties. And so much depends on your attitude to trading and how much your income depends on this case..
