Trading houses?

wait till real estate futures come out on the CME. You could do the same as relative value equity trades. Your bet is the property will outperform the real estate market. Prices go down, they depreciate less. Prices go up they increase more than the market. In this situation, you only need to know how to pick distressed properties and do the repair work.
I know, the actual mechanics won't be this simple. But just throwing out ideas.
