Only MOCs are honored and you could not put in limits after 15:48PM since system was down.

In other words, huge screw for a lot of ppl. Imagine being long size in a stock that got downgraded at 4:06pm.
 
yeah you had to already be on the book, or else you can go out there on INET and maybe get lucky and someone will hit you

I had two rather large leveraged short positions on the NYSE which were both profitable. I got panicky and put in market orders one at 15:55 and the other 15:57. Both were executed in less than 5 seconds within a nickel of when my quotes stopped at 15:48.

Yeah ok, well it aint coming from me. Probably gonna see a point gap down on my 500 shares in this thin stock.

But at least Im not long size the stock that got downgraded.

Does anyone know if there will be any recourse for this interruption? I think it should be fair for the NYSE to at least allow to put in MOC for the numbers of traders that got stuck.
