This is from a Private Message. Not posting who from etc, but the general sentiment I'm sure is shared by others, so I figured I might as well go over it.
I assume you are using the sponsorship and the message board as a means of promoting your services. Let me ask you something: Why should anyone subscribe if you are here admitting that you are not following your own rules?
Making mistakes is never something that will make you popular. Especially if those mistakes could have been (should have been) avoided. This is especially true when dealing with money. In this reply I don't want to sound like I am making an excuse, because there really isn't a good one for doing it in the markets eyes and the market is the judge. No matter how you rationalize it, breaking the rules is breaking the rules.
I think the fact is that I am human, and because of that I will not behave like a robot. That means that on occasion im going to mess things up. For the most part though I don't, and I think that fact that most of our members are long term members speaks to that fact (long term meaning having been with us more then 1 year). If you work with a human being, there will be mistakes, even avoidable ones from time to time. This is just a part of it. I don't think this is any different from any other person who runs a chatroom or even a hedge fund. The only difference is that when I make one I tell everyone about it and say, well I screwed this up this way or that. It doesn't always make me popular - but it's a bit of honesty I think you would find with few other people in my position. If you are not interested in the chatroom that is fine, it probably would not help you then. If you are though and you came in I think you would learn a lot from us that would help you become profitable or more profitable.
