His bank accounts would be in Amsterday (dutch citizen), but lives in Mexico. supposedly TOS is working out this issue, but they do not give a ETA on it. Probably just trying to buy time. Of course they want his money.

btw: I am trying ot get a foreign friend trading on TOS. He got set up and now they tell him he can't trade futures. I am furious, but not sure what to do. I didnt like IBs platform. Any other recs?

Use a different front end to trade thru IB instead of using their own platform. There are many better alternatives than to trade on the TWS, like Ninjatrader, Button Trader, Multicharts, eSignal, etc.
