Trading from LCD TV's

I'm buying a new 32" LCD TV.

The 2 models I'm looking at have PC in Video slots.

I brought my laptop into the store to see the quality of my charts on them but they both were very grainy and shadowy.

This was the latest and best Sharp and Sony TV's but I could NOT get the resolution or quality of picture I can get with a simple 24" monitor.


WHY and is there any thing I can do ????

The resolution of the those LCD TV is nothing close to the 1200 x 1800 for LCD monitors. usually around 680 x 680 . A 30 Inch Dell runs $1500 for those exact reasons.
 
HDTV resolution is still far from a lowly LCD monitor.

The TV is designed to be viewed from at least 10' away. Try it, you won't see the grain as much. ;-)>
