Trading for a living....full time....only income

Would be interested to have comments from OP or others who posted earlier- from 2002 to 2010 was a great learning expereince - got a great recovery to one of the biggest dumps to another great bull market a full cycle.

In my continuing quest for some confirmation if going full time will ever be a reality for me, I ve thought of another question for the good posters here at ET. If you trade full time, swing, day or a combination of both and sucessfully fund your lifestyle, I'd like you to reply with a simple explaination of your experience. I'm looking for people who support families, pay bills, save for college, etc, etc, etc., and do it all with just their trading income. I am not asking for any figures, I don't care if you make 30K or 250K/yr., just some confirmation of your existence. If this is not you, please don't respond. Please elaborate on how long you have been trading full time as well. Thanks!
I've know more than 50 traders and investors:

I've never known a profitable daytrader. All those I've known lose it all in a few months and quit trading to get a job.
All swing traders have other jobs and trade on their spare time. They all say they are profitable but people lie. As they have jobs its hard to tell how much of their income comes from their job and how much from trading.
Those who make a living are passive investors with over $1 Million, usually retired.

If you are expecting to support a family from trading you are set for a big dissapointing.
Don't daytrade, over 95% fail, and virtually all fail on their first year.
Swing trade and keep your job. If you don't have a job get one ASAP.

it's possible.work hard and you will find YOUR way..keep in mind that like everything else it may not last forever..do not relax..continue to search..put some profits aside..much easier at the beginning, if you married and spouse is working full time with decent salary..
waiting for respond from this latina...most of the time all i got is bs like it was altered\fake\photophop pic..

Hey Bob111,

It looks good. If you don't mind, what instrument, strategy do you trade? keep it up.
