Trading ES, reverse trade based stops

On the last short I was trying to go in the direction of price and indicator's pattern, then buyers came in and negated the pattern. I have seen this happen many times and am ready for it.

Basically wanting to know if you are using a stop when you initiate a trade. I think you are as the title of the thread suggests, but I didn't see them posted I didn't think. Are you also reversing when you see something?

Although a stop is the reverse trade, I have stops outside the noise of the time frame being traded.

Ok, so the statement earlier about a catastrophic stop is somewhat accurate and then you attempt to reverse before the cat stop is hit?
