Trading during Playoff Games, Awards Shows, etc, Breakouts at Ad Time?
Traders that work the evening hours, like mr overnight, got a question here. If you watch a oneminute chart during say, ncaa b-ball march madness night games, world series, grammys, academy awards, and so on, do you see a tendency for price moves to occur alongside the advertisements?
Say the big event gets underway. The market is in doldrums flopping around establishing lackluster 'support / resist levels, then the ad hits and volume and price movements increase briefly then settle back down until the next ad.
Do your charts show that? If they do, then Wondering here if that *possible* correlation holds true to the same extent for the superbowl due to the high viewer/trader interest in the advertisements themselves. Thinking that it will, but to a lesser extent, all else being equal. If osama bin laden does a soft shoe during halftime though, that could well make the market move a little. Maybe.
