Trading Dummies

Quote from Babak:

Why do you think your entry was wrong? It was textbook 'dummies' (except for being on a 15 min. interval).

I think i should have waited for my bar to form...oops.

PS: I can't believe you guys are giving away my bread and butter strategy to the unwashed masses......:p

Don't worry Jack still has lots of koolaid.

If you've followed the previous examples and the many lessons on MaoXian's site, this is self explanatory.

TODAY:
long ADTN stopped out for a small loss.
RNAI-Still short, good gains!
ALNY stopped for a small loss.
EFII short, profitted but closed too early :(

I missed the boat on SBL I wasn't at my comp.

Good luck all, I will likely post the charts later.

great thread and nice trades here folks - i like the approach, i favor the momentum in my strategies as well - it seems that this approach is quite straight-forward to automate and i am wondering if you are aware of anyone who has done any backtesting or automation with this - actually, i recall that one of you has mentioned somewhere that there is a reason why you trade this discretionary only, perhaps you can explain / clarify this point a bit further, thx a lot.

I've never backtested it. It makes sense, so I trade it.

ok thx - if you are making good money with it, it makes sense to focus on trading it.

just one other quick question - somewhere there was a mention that you watch volume during the first half hour - what are the specific things, if any, that you are looking for with respect to volume - or is this discussed somewhere on the website in the lessons, would you pls point me to the section - thx again.

Should be possible to backtest. If I find time, I'll see what I can come up with in Amibroker.
