I didn't know if the fact they are 24hrs a day changes the way the trade or if certain patterns are unreliable. I've heard things like beans go up faster than down ect so I guess that's something I will just have to learn by doing.

I've traded energy futures, currency futures and stock index futures and although they have their specific personalities, the basic price action concepts seem to work for all of these.
As for beans, I sim traded them a couple times when my mentor told me to take a look at them and nothing too scary happened

Difficult no, but there are always minor adjustments that have to be made.
