I think that one needs to be cautious during the middle hours, but lately there were just so many opportunities in the middle hours that it is very difficult to miss them.
What I do is that I usually decrease my exposure and become more selective...

It seems that while many of the responses are talking about general windows of time to trade - say, 9:30-11:30 AM - is anybody doing something more specific than that (to try and get back to the original idea of the the thread)? Namely, putting on a trade at 9:49, or on the 13th 5-minute bar?

I'm trying to get a feel for whether using time in that kind of manner is a legitimate concept. Thanks in advance for your replies.
