Toyota and Ferrari are rumored to spend over $400 million a year. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Spyker and Super Aguri probably $50-$100 million a year at best.

F1 racing rocks! i know very little about it, however, and would like to learn. can you recommend sources for a new fan in the sport?

My personal favorite that I check daily to get news blurbs is f1-live.com. The official web site for F1 is formula1.com. Tons of cool information there. On Fri/Sat/Sun of a race weekend there is a section that gives you some info on technical developments of a few cars for that weekend. Live timing and scoring is awesome too. This time of year I am upset that the season is over but I get more into football. Only about 5 months until the 2007 season begins! Go Kimi!
