prenups should be standard practice for marriages at all levels of the economic ladder. and how the assets/liabilities will split, and the child support money should all be settled before the marriage license is signed, to keep the court's bias toward the woman from taking a chunk of your income.
it will not be easy telling your wife-to-be to sign a prenup, she might walk out on you. maybe if it's done in the office of a marriage councellor where the begining, middle and end of a marriage is discussed, then the prenup will be there as one item on the list, and easier to get her to agree to it in that situation.

im not atty, but i dont think the mother can vote away children's rights. so, i dont think you can settle child support, custody, etc in advance. mother can can back for more in name of children. my buddy got called into court for redo of support and the judge appointed his 2 daughters their own atty... so he got to pay for 3 attys that time

If you marry for sex and looks, and later find out that your wife can be replaced by a hooker, did the horse come before the cart, or the other way around?
If you marry so that you can become a trader and have your wife help pay the bills until you become profitable, and later your wife starts yelling at you because you are still trying to make it six years later, did the horse come before the cart, or the other way around?

All of you guys and girls in this thread with this attitude, are having children that are going to repeat your "experiences" and beliefs that you have stated in this thread, and believe that it is "reality." We create our own reality, but that reality is shaped by the society we live in. When a society continously creates the fear that you have to have money so that you can retire and be ok in your old age, your entire life now becomes about money and you constantly live in fear of money. Then there is the rest of all the fears. Terrorists, muslims, black people, white people, latinos, rich people, poor people, your wife, her kids, respect, stature, the list goes on and on. I claim this country lives in constant fear of something. One wonders when anyone has time for friendship, pleasure, love, wonder, introspection, etc.
If instead you end up having lots of money, your personality will have changed so much in it's pursuit that no one will recognize you. You will then continue to pursue it because that is what is normal to you then. I am secure now. I finally made it. I am still empty. What happened?
What is the "solution"? Never put money and inanimate objects in front of people. Don't live in fear. Work hard but never forget to play hard and laugh alot. Marry a friend - that means you have to become friends first and not lovers, usually.

PS as far as the original poster, I have no idea what trading has to do with dating. What I do for $ may not even come up for weeks, if I am lucky.

Tell them you make 7 figures a year analyzing the financial markets. Wearing a (high quality) fake Breitling or TAG (the good fakes go for like 200-300 bucks) helps. Give $20 tips to waiters on the first 2-3 dates, always impresses the females.
You will get more action than you can handle. Get some Viagra/Cialis if you feel you feel worn out after a while. Watch out on the Cialis, it's really hardcore stuff.
