Quote from Mike805:
I don't know man, if you got to BS your way to get laid, that kind of is desperation IMO. You are walking a fine line there - one misstep and you're done. Like someone already said, its much easier to just tell the truth.
Agree with the laughter comments. That and wit are probably the most effective ways to get what you want.
Hey look, not everyone goes out to meet mrs. wifey.
The easiest way to get laid is to go and BS and have fun. Noone wants to hear or see the truth, this is America. I mean how many times do you hear girls say & claim "I don't care about money" and "I just want a nice guy with a sense of humor". Look, if the b*tch finds it that important what you do, she does not even deserve the respect of you being truthful to her.
I don't claim to be a player nor do I try to be. It's just not me, (although my female friends will not believe me). But when I go out and feel like I need to get laid or get #s for potential laters, I have to put on a front. Girls don't want nice guys, so I play up to what they want, some asshole personality, mixed with indifference & arrogance. If it's the materialistic b*tch, I play up to that story, usually more out of spite toward golddigging whores and to see how long I can fleece the B*tch. Although almost every girl in NYC takes your profession into account more than anything else.
I'm not looking for a soulmate, even if they are. It's very very tough to find a female that is for real, let alone be attracted to her. Most of them lie & pretend and put on fronts just like men do. So f**k it, give them the lack of respect they deserve. Tell her you're a doctor, an IBanker, a sports agent, upcoming boxer (I easily get away with that one), a head of Merrill trading desk, owner of a hedge fund, real estate mogul, whatever the f**k you can make fly. Fireman, police officer and military seem to fly with a lot but I never bother with those, they would see through me in an instant. Gotta be comfortable with your story.
Look if the b*tch instantly labels you based on what you do for a living, whether it is of a purely financial factor or of some superficial crap along the likes of "ooohhh, firemen are HOT", then she is full of sh*t and deserves to be fed bullsh*t. A female that is for real and is of good genuine unjudgemental character won't even care about what you do that much. She does not want to see what you "job" is on the financial scale, she would want to see your passion. That's a keeper.
Someone told me once that a big difference between USA afterwork bars and Europe is that everyone in USA tries to talk about their job while in Europe they try to talk about everything else but their job.
