NEVER SAY "NEVER". you just got to take the good things about tradestation and capitalize on that. like free data and platform if I do 10 r/ts in futures a month.
i can spare to have a second trading account. 10 r/t's is easy to do. i can do that in a day and then forget about them for the month. for the average person and with the use of Dll's TS8 can be VERY helpful for testing.
I would agree that I would never put all
my money in a TS8 brokerage account. now thats suicide. IMO. but learn to use the good things from brokers and go elsewhere for the rest. again in my
humble opinion.

Agree with you. But please be more specific about your customer service complaints: Was it regarding the platform or the brokerage.

IMO, TS makes a very good platform and has a below average brokerage.

I've used them quite extensively as a brokerage for the last six months. The major benefit for me is the platform, backtesting, and automation. It is somewhat cumbersome to trade automated using another broker as you would need an interface like TradeBolt, etc.

As far as customer service, no, they are not great. At all. But the platform for me personally is still the key.

I've found that their list of available shorts has improved greatly over the last few months, however.
