Can anyone comment on the pros and cons of Tradestation vs: IB ? TradeStation charges $99/mo and .0125/shr with no ECN or ticket charge. Interested in finding out speed of execution and reliability between the two as well as support. Have been reading some negative comments of late on IB's reliability and am having second thoughts on IB. Trading is tough enough even with good reliability and speed of execution.

i have been pleased with the execution speed of tradestation and the semi-unique array of order types. my suggestion would be , try it yourself and compare it with IB to determine what works best for you.

All online brokers have outages from time to time so get accounts at both and you will have a backup when the other one goes down. IB is as reliable as any of the others, it just has been having a rough spell the past few days. Just wait a bit and you will see the same things posted about tradestation going down.
