I was speaking to a Broker from ssb and was told that they charge 1.5% for unlimitied trading of stock and options anually w/ a minimum of 50k in the account. So basically, $750 a year for unlimited trades with all of thier services. Is this good or what am i missing. Thanks in advance for the replies!

best,

Comp

I had an ICHOICE account I traded with Morgan Stanly Dean Whitter. Put of $50,000 pay a small fee and no commissions....

I did a little more research on this and apologize for the confusion. Yes, you are all somewhat correct. I have found that they will shut you down if you are making 15 or more trades a day. IT could still be to a traders benefit yet is is definately not as attractive as they made it out to be.

Cheers,

That's still a great deal. For a $50K account:

15/day * ~60 days/quarter = ~900 trades/quarter

Assuming 1000 share trades at IB at $7.50 = $6750 commish

$50K * 1.5% = $750 at ML/MWD/whoever

$6000 savings per quarter - more if you are trading size.

Sounds like a good deal for swing traders.

instaquote vs IB/TS

Any feedback with regard to these competing platforms?
Strengths / weaknesses ---- execution, reliability, features etc
Thanks!

Can I trust Tradestation company with more than $10K in one account? Please compare with E*Trade, Ameri*Trade etc. I'd like to transfer my IRA. Because many of them starts to charge many expensive fees, which are countering the trend of the industry.

I asked Tradestation in another thread. But no agent or fan replied. Thanks very much.

:p
