Hello, can anyone tell me if TradeStation gives LDLU, also spelled LULD, information for each stock? LDLU is "Limit Down, Limit Up". Some brokers call it LULD for "Limit Up, Limit Down." It's the same thing.
what is the purpose of LULD, what it does for a trader ?
Correct, for example Das Trader Pro software, I believe, will have "LD" on the Bid side and "LU" on the Ask side. Das Trader Pro will also have LDLU dollar amounts above the Level 2 columns. When a stock hits Limit Up or Limit Down, above the L2 columns will change to say "Trading Paused!" and all retail trading will stop/freeze.In level2 you will see a price level with a "LULD", for example "12,27 LULD" in the bid column, that means that if the stock goes down and touches that price and stays there for few seconds (I´m not sure what the exact number of seconds is), the stock will be halted and will start a volatility auction.
I searched for STP but could not find it. I do know what NASDAQ Total View is. I don't know if STP is a software platform or a feature of NASDAQ Total View.I'm not seeing L2 in STP. I have * LULD added to L2 Makers field and the checkbox highlighted specific market makers. When a ticker is halted and unhalts it doesn't show LULD levels in my L2 box. I have Nasdaq Total View market data. My most recent version of STP is 12.17.2. Any idea why I can't see LULD in L2? My broker previously blamed it on my processor. I have an Intel I3 2.20 Gz with turbo boost. I used the same laptop and processor with various version prior of STP and had * LULD added to L2 makers field and the checkbox in the highlight specific market makers and was able to see LULD in L2. I'm not sure why I can't now.

I highly doubt you are not seeing L2 because of your i3 CPU. I think your broker tech support simply read the system requirements and then blamed it on your i3. Your laptop might run slow or sluggish but I doubt it will stop you from seeing LULD.
What is STP? Is it browser-based? Give me a link.
