I dropped TS 20 years ago. Still have IB, but mostly as a glorified bank. Both platforms need a full rewrite. You can only keep dinosaurs healthy for so long. (Jurassic park methods aside )

Rewrite? What platform is better than IB? It's not perfect but technically it seems to be ahead of the competitors. The universal account is still something that I haven't seen at other brokerages.

Simply use your backup broker.

I guess most traders just have one broker to rely on. Not that it’s bad but having accounts with different brokers is useful at times. I had opened accounts with 4 brokers in the past, but now I just trade on fxview & xm. I wonder if OP has a backup broker or not!
