If you notice there is no tick size uniformity which tells me optimizing. Notice real odd tick value charts? Take normal Mom with value of 8/9, draw across of +/- 8 and get interested with Mom gets past -/+ 8, so you want an up bar in an uptrend an sell the close of the bar, has smallest risk since you near the highs, you wait for breakouts going the other way the risk expands and no guarantee price not reversing. You can also look for divergences.
