that is the only reason i started trading 30 years ago.

but i could not figure out the next step.

Mostly it's "tough" because it is akin to gambling. And any attempt I've seen so far to try to predict the future is fruitless.

a system is a set of rules
for example if your dog barks and your wife kisses you and a red car passes your house ...you buy.
this is a system whether it will make you money .......

So what's a good system for trading?

I read this article and others.

They make longer-term bets on macroeconomic circumstances. Timelines of perhaps 18-24 months.

That aren't worried about when the 9ema crosses the 200ema.

i never believed in system trading.
i only tried to understand what the market was doing.

i read Al Brooks' book and but it took me 12 years to understand what he said

That sounds like what the "real guys" do.

I was just reading about some Soros stuff. One time he noticed that since emerging Asian economies held their debt in USD, that moves in the USD would have a disproportionate effect on their economies and he was that as an investment opportunity.

That is so beyond anything I could ever imagine myself predicting that I don't know that this could be worth my time.

The first time I ever made a large bet of money on the economy was in September. It didn't go well. I'm still waiting and hoping for it to go back up and break even some day.

i do not have a business or a job,only a dog so i have a lot of time to spend.
i used to hold futures for months but got so bored with nothing to do that i used to play video games.
so i tried to learn to scalp and it took me 12 years.....yesterday i made 300% trading for 6 hours
