traders who are deeply religious

Quote from Tradefox:

When bad things happen it is not because of God ... it's because of evil and you should be clear on that.

Quote from cooldude:

Damn, I am so ignorant that I need to ask:

Who made evil? Or did evil made itself?

Quote from vhehn:

Isaiah 45:7 (King James Version):
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

So your God made a scapegoat?

:D

Quote from Tradefox:

I am a man and IF I was able to discern the TRUTH I would not be here in ET having this conversation with you.

I would be doing my best to share it with the world and end as much suffering as I could.

I am only seeking it and TRUSTING the words of God the best I can.

i can respect anyone who is seeking answers. i was there once. i am now comfortable i have found them.
i think all men would strive to live by the words of god if only he would show some interest in providing us evidence of what that may be. the bible is not it. all evidence indicates the bible was a book written by men who had no concept of how the world worked and who thought thunder and lightening were god speaking.

Quote from Tradefox:

Have you ever read the Old Testament ?

Evil was a CHOICE given to man (Adam and Eve) and is still a CHOICE today.
So your Eternal Almighty gave Men the choice of good and evil although He knew that Men could and probably would make a wrong choice?

That seems sadistic to me.

If someone you loved deeply gave you a CHOICE to leave them and never see them again would you CHOOSE it?

I BELIEVE (notice those words)

that GOD wants us to make that decision on our own in spite of being human.

Then I am happy for you and as long as your choice bears GOOD fruit and does NOT harm your fellow man in ANYWAY then Peace be with you.

It's between YOU and GOD now (assuming that you at least believe in HIM). :)

"Cornerstone Investor's Club was started by Michael Norris because he wanted to help others invest in the stock market. Michael is a committed Christian and lay minister in his church. The name Cornerstone comes from Jesus as the Cornerstone, which refers to the foundational stone, which the Church is built upon (Ephesians 2:20 "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.") The foundation of all your financial decisions should be based on Christ."

THANK YOU.

Quote from acrary:

Sure, the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14 - 30.
Man given 5 talents invests/trades and creates 5 talents more.
When his master returns he is told "well done, good and faithful servent. You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things."

Money is not evil, just the lust for it.

I believe if you're a good, talented trader as proven by your results, you have a moral obligation to trade and grow the money the best you can. Just don't try to hold onto the money with a tight fist. Genuine opportunites will come up to bless others in need. It's at those times you will be expected to freely use the money for the good it was intended.

It is EASY to see where your trading wisdom has come from and I wish you continued success, God Bless.

This is really sadistic since your God gave men a brain that simple mortals do not know how to use even 10% of its capacity as is said by all scientists.

Would you let your 10 year old kid decide whether he should go to a weekend camping in the Rockies all by himself?

i believe a free mind is one of the greatest things a man can possess. the problem is, a questioning mind is the enemy of faith so it is discouraged in most religions.

here is a good site that will help you think it through.

Quote from ...:
A questioning mind is the enemy of all self apointed representatives or interpreters of the will of a supposedly higher entity, whatever entity it may be.
