This is a surprise to me! I figured you would have higher maintenance requirements when trading the equities. I sure did. You seemed to have put a lot of effort into selection and methodolgy, then.

Probably, I'm missing something. But those kinds of explorations seem to have been limited here.
 
Life was simpler then. "Maintenance" involved re-arranging the flowers, not trying to put out the fires that threatened to destroy the house.

Well, range issues appear to be weighing heavily on traders' minds. Some advice I've heard involves 'bulking up' to compensate for the lack of it. If you can't trade well with one lot, then you are going to have trouble managing five.

As for technical issues, I was thinking yesterday what would be the result of only getting to trade the NQ 8 days a month because of constricted ranges. Now, that's a fire! I don't have any real simple answers to questions like that.

Not in the form we have them now. I can't see them losing their fanchise, however. The NYSE will figure out how to help the specialist maintain income... It might mean fees go up for online trading.
