Traders Education

Quote from calibertrader:

Undergrad degree in accounting. But your education doesn't really matter. It's all about dedication, willingness to learn EVERYTHING, and HARD WORK!! I've seen guys with high school degrees make it big, they were willing to put in the work needed.

what? no way man. how can u even say that! education is the most important. i doubt there's anyone here consistently making money without a college education. and, most likely, the better the school the better the trader. most likely you're just selling dreams to the dropouts..

You have got to be kidding! I did not go to college and I have a 175 IQ. I have run a pile of successful businesses and retired at 45. College? Bah Humbug!
Must admit though, I am a voracious reader.

Seriously...

Dropped out of High School...

Took GED...

Dropped out 2nd year of Community College...

I'm a living proof that school and education has nothing to do with trading success.

That's good to know.

BTW - were you really W.D. Gann, or just pretending to be him?

Hah, and you guys thought you had to have college to be a successful trader.:p

Don't you have to have a brokerage account to be a trader? From what I've read, that's the most important thing.

Huh? I'm guessing you're saying that from my sig...

I used to use the handle WDGann in here... that's it... no biggie...

Since you asked:

BSc in Physics, MSc in Computer Science, MSc in Physics, PhD in Physics, and MBA - Portfolio Management.

What difference does it make? :)

That's why I said, you have to read everything to get the education to be a successful trader. I've found that guys that come from top colleges tend to over complicate the trading process and have harder times.
