Brazilian Trader, etrades, DG and Science, and, OK, since I’m being generous, sandp500
Today is your lucky day, maybe. Thank the generosity of the others for making it clear to me that paying forward on , what Jesus the famous Nazarene has given me so freely and abundantly.
Wanted to do a private thread free from distractions but was not able to get a single entry in. I don’t need to block anyone anymore as I now know more about the driving forces for the poor behaviors. Moreover, cannot ignore or block market information I do not like. Makes me a stronger trader effectively handling adversity. Pacifism I noticed here as well from PADU.
I cannot be offended by mental disease or defect, that would be on me. Please be kind enough if you know I would not like you here to read this only or just be somewhat polite and contributory. Follow Baron's rules for the sight. Only several fall into this category. Feel free to use the information tho, on me.
I received a message this AM, from my only friend to date here, about sharing my play with others. I was assured that I would be promised anything as long as I had the secret sauce. I have the secret sauce and have been offered “things”, but zero of real value. I ask nothing in return here.
This is a public forum for me to enjoy. I stated yesterday that Robert Morse, Southall and Sprout have posted on point with what I needed to overcome. This week I went from 3 max to 5 max contracts per trade.
It paid off and currently ahead for the week, $1537.50 in live, non paper trading, minus the fees which is a whole other discussion. If this works and many contracts are being traded, then lease a monthly exchange seat and use Tradovate, pay one price, $199.00, unlimited contracts. I’m close to needing that leased seat.
I keep records for everything as you never know when the data becomes relevant. I gave bits and pieces of my work, which I have stated for weeks now, that it took me over 10,000 hours. A full time job is 2000 a year.
I can say with certainty, based on a life long track record, that my 10,000 hours in pattern recognition are more productive than yours will ever be. So sharing is my answer for selflessness. Comes with maturity, says Piaget, and a desire to not be selfish 10,000 hours is the real saying based on the time it takes to earn a PHd, an expert.
Momentum trading is about speed. I am a expert at seeing patterns. No true patterns exist here but many micro patterns do. If you notice the speed of the current 5 minute candle, say 1035 est, and it is smooth in its ascent. I notice that as the current candle, approaches the level of the previous candle, the 1030 EST one, a binary situation exists. Either a slow crawl commences or a rapid increase initiates. I think it is HFT but do not know for sure. I call the rapid ones pulses. (not 100% binary but enough for me to say and think it and use it that way)
The slow crawl is my way of grabbing a tic on the pull back. I wait for 2 tic pullback and then try to grab one.
The rapid increase type I try to grab one tic trending. I particularly like to see the same color candle in the second one as the first. I wrestle with this one I have success both ways. So lately I have been focusing on green to green or red to red.(pretty sure that didn’t go over too well).
I track the volume by using Fibonacci retracement. Fibonacci was my last study to exit my MBA program. To my knowledge, the way I use this is not a Fibonacci, but it sounds cool. By placing the 0.00% on the top of the first bar and dragging down 100% to zero, you can visually see in a split second how this candle is doing with respect to the previous one. That 0-100% is five minutes and the lines lines denote portions thereof. I use approximations only. .
In use, the 61.2 % represents 2 minutes into the 5 minute candle. The 50% represents 2.5 minutes into the candle. The 38.8% represents 3 minutes into the candle. The 23.6% represents 3.75 minutes into the next candle.
Example, the 1030 candle was green. The 50% marker for the next candle is at 10:37:50. The 23.6% line is 10:38:45. Hopefully I attach a good enough picture. PS I love to see the second candle open to the reverse side and then become a matching color 1:40-4 minutes into the candle.
Check the times on my posted trades. Should be mostly entered around the 3 minute mark meaning times like 10:48:00 or 10:53:00. By this time the 5 minute candle has established itself and leaves 2 minutes or more to close. You do not want to go to the next candle if at all possible. If you want more than one tic then you probably will have too. Getting in earlier than the 3 minute mark makes much sense also. Screen time will tell you how you can fit your own style and risk parameters in.
So, at this point, my plan is to only participate in the candles that are the same color as the precious one after having been the opposite color, have increasing volume as determined by the Fibonacci lines. Be between 10:30 and 3:30 EST and be between 1:40 and 4:00 into the 5 minute candle; preferably 3-4 minutes into the candle. This screen is posted on the left of my 55 inch TV. The larger the screen the easier to read. I have a diabetic related optic pathology.
I do not remember what winning percentage you should expect here(65%?) but this is not enough for me to make a dime with. I have 9 more filters to add and use a variety of them as I see fit before each trading day. Has to do with Globex’s performance and one other thought. I track on a 14 trading day cycle manually entering into a spreadsheet. This how I adjust my filters. They are very delicate.
Let’s be logical here. If a trade last a minute or two, how much information, other than
ORDER FLOW, is really necessary. in a one tic system, order flow is both the entry and exit all wrapped up in one. Jump on a fast moving candle and be in and out in seconds to minutes. cannot lose margin if you are out and have already captured some cabbage. In and out and catch me if you can. Love the game just as it is.
Why am I not selling this to those in need?
1. My God wants me to help others here on Earth as He is in Paradise. He is training me for the next life. I'm not too sure I'm getting to heaven but hope to.
2. Important my God knows I serve Him and not the almighty greenback. Talk is cheap and cheap people just talk. I used to be extremely selfish and know what it smells like. Generosity is an action and selfishness is an inaction.
3. This act is following leadership from guys like Morse and Southall. A better place is more beneficial to all.
4. I’ll make plenty in the years to come if I do what I say this does. PLENTY. If many people participate in my system, simultaneously, it will crash due to slippage for some and create new opportunities for others beyond 1 tic. Like the kids game that removes a chair at a time until only one person sits, someone gets left out. I'll figure the new solution. i have a track record of finding solutions to very difficult problems.
5. Many need this type of help for free. Worldwide viewing to not so wealthy places.
I'll get pictures up soon. Need to check the live screen for a while. Only one trade so far.
If you try to learn this stuff as laid out please comeback and report your progress or lack thereof so others can benefit. Post a screen shot if we need to see it. In the latter case, maybe I or someone involved in the thread could help further. I've taught a few gratis and some learn faster than others. Even slow learner's get this eventually. A basic understanding of the auction is all you really need to start.
I didn't actually see it but check out the 1125 and the 1130 candle. looks like what I am referring to. Whatever your target, you should target over 80 % in advancing towards you target for one tics worth. (that's another rough one, not an English major; obviously.
Hope it helps you-Hope you can just understand my viewpoint. Things have been rocky here.
