I can't/won't do discretionary as in everything gets back tested first, have now 15 years of tick data, so I go over the board to pknow just how badly drawdowns can catch most of the bad cause drawdowns always worst than backtests. When you need to get out...slippage. Everything eventually turns into automation, can't do discretionary in it but can do variable entries/exits
You stated you never attempted 1 tic. Your statement about hurting the bottom line uses other stidies. That could a flaw in your logic.
I found out through hard knocks. When at BE +1, if the market turns 4 ticks against, more times than not, it will go farther. My cash experience, not theory.
Congrats to Handle, the first post engaging in an intellectual point of the thread.
Is the peanut gallery here really starting their own chat sight, ELITELOSERS.ASS. Thanks for the laughs. Win after win can get unthrilling very quickly. Few entry signals today.
ElectricSavant, since you not profitable at intraday trading? I do not advise trying to counter trend against the trend, as counter trend is much harder IMHO for too many.
I never do trailing stops, once it gets the "BE+1" that stays till either get out or reverse of other than scalps. Same with very long term stocks and commodities, all my studies so trailing stops hurts bottom line.

Pride cometh before the fall.
Mark, he uses brackets using a trailing SL. He is not trading at the top of the bar but -1 tick. So when he gets the ask bumping him up without a fill/price change on a long he gets immediate improvement after entry.
Confused here?????
Thought years of discipline and poor trading plan only got losers. If you get a winner, do you assume it was a break in discipline? (Satire) just as tough to get 38 losers in a row, Right?,
Kinda complicated..you actually got to go to Tradovate and see it happen..but its true I can vouch for what he says.
My sim expired in Tradovate or I would try and screenshot it on one of my winning trades...

Offensive no?It's a New York thing...TraderEX is a good trader and he knows it..but he is on the defensive here in ET, Mark Brown was just trying to understand the code. I tell you what... there are many traders in this thread that I want to be friends with..but it seems they cannot all be in the same room.

I'm having trouble with small print. Is the last bar chart 37 or 38 in row? Would a good analysis suggest i should trade on sunday night? Help, I'm new.
