"Playing for tics" is a joke, period.

Well, maybe, maybe not. If someone makes money they make money. I'm not judging. With the ES though, a tick target puts you at a big disadvantage, especially buying market, you start off -12.50 plus commission, and you have to pass through two ticks just to make 12.50 minus commission. You'd need one hell of a win rate, like 95%.

Still hogwash. That's not "60 tics of success"... that's "1 tic win x 60 contracts"... big diff.
And who in his right mind is going to risk a 60 lot for 1 tic? Even if you nail it perfectly one time, commissions take 1/3 of the gain. Who is naive enough to play that game?
And "nets" doesn't mean "got lucky one time"... it means it's a "method" with continued success....

Which is why "playing for tics" is nonsense... not to mention the noise factor in the ES.
