Quote from traderbrad:

A considerable discount was given to a recent party who had mentioned that he has had it tough in the trading world.

The party pre-viewed my Before the Bell Calls (specific calls before the market opens) for several months before he committed to doing anything with me.

The party was given several live trials as well as my Before the Bell e-mails in my live trading room before there was ever a purchase.

It is very clear that was has happened is the party has acquired my product that he partially has paid for and now he wishes to keep the products of my company and my own creative efforts without paying for them.

I gave a considerable discount to this party in hopes that he would put some effort into learning my method like the other successful traders in my live trading room have done already.

Many members in my room have Ph.D.'s, are savvy business men and are down right just plain hard workers that show results from their efforts.

I cannot account for anyone as to how much effort they will put forth into learning my methods. It is for this reason I give no refunds.

My course material is considerably more indepth than what was stated. The legal implications of going further than what was already stated would trigger action on my part.

In order to obtain the service including course materials the party was required to sign an acknowledgement that included the following provisions:

1. An acknowledgement that you would be receiving information of considerable value including certain confidential information;
2. An acknowledgement that the confidential information that was the subject matter of the course was not generally known;
3. An acknowledgement that disclosure of the contents of the course would violate the intellectual property rights of the creator;
4. An acknowledgement that you might not become successful as a daytrader despite purchasing the course;
5. An acknowledgement that the course fee was non-refundable.

WHy are you avoiding my question ?? Did you or did you not return the student's money ?? Why all the veiled lanquage , traderbrat ?? If you KNEW ANYTHING about the law, those types of acknowledgements that the poor, bedraggled and unfortunate sometimes sign are called CONTRACTS OF ADHEESION (sp) . THey are not enforceable. wHY DID YOU not give the poor student his money back ? what is the big deal ??? ARE YOU THAT DESPERATE ?? TRADING GOING THAT POORLY ?? That you have to keep an unhappy. poor ( by your own admission) student's money ??

Question: Which conman is worse?

A) The unsophisticated one who has minimal disclaimers.

B) The careful one who (with the help of informed lawyers) has examined all the pitfalls of the fraud game and has small print designed to insulate him from prosecution.

Snoop please don't ask ....

I already feel like a complete loser for buying this :(

I was having a few bad months trading my own methods and made one of the worst mistakes a trader can make by thinking that someone else may know something that isn't readily available for free (in most instances) and out of frustration, I didn't follow my own rules of insisting on a Money Back guarantee.

Once I went to this guys house (100 kms) from mine to pick up the course I knew, I was in trouble. He lives in this little house in a very small town.

Every night on the guest section of his web site he posts a movie of the previous days trades that he claims to take in the live room. Needless to say they seem VERY impressive.

Once I got into his live room I was fast to realize that it was a total lie, On Friday March 26th for example (A day I was in the room) he called 3 trades 1 loss 1 win 1 b/e for a net profit of $0.

Yes I know ... I'm pathetic go ahead in this case call me a loser... I deserve it.

A huge regret.... and I know better that's the saddest part.

I think your post here is pretty honorable, you may have saved someone else from being duped by this guy, or perhaps something similar.

I think we have all been there, in some area of life. A while ago, in a consulting career, I was seriously harmed when I ignored some red flags I saw regarding a guy I dealt with. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, then quickly realized my worst fears. The tough thing was, the corner of my eye saw that something wasnt right and I rationalized it away.

The hard truth is, there are predators out there looking for people when they are vulnerable, which everyone is at some point in their life.

I have learned never break my rules, and never ignore "that little feeling something isnt right" And I learned it the hard way.

If you are the poor soul this JOKER ripped off and called a fool to add insult to the situation--- PLEASE let me know--- I can hook you up with counsel who understands and will cook this turkey.

Thanks Jack I will PM you on the weekend.

I really want to thank everyone that has given me moral support on this post.

I think each and everyone of us here in ET can understand what a terrible feeling it is to feel like you have been had.:(

If I think of all the other great things that could have been done with this money, it's really upsetting and if and when I get it back ...

I am going to make a DONATION to a good Charity for $500.00 on behalf of all the good members of ET.

Thanks Again.

Samson,

Sadly, that is VERY typical of chat rooms that call trades. There are so many ways to change the outcome that its impossible without audited brokerage statements (which the EPA has recently added to the endangered species list, so good luck ever seeing one) to verify. Throughout the years I have visited various chat rooms and almost all of them used the same tactic, pumping the winners and dodging the losers. Amazingly many people believe the lame excuses they use as to why they should have reversed or followed some new rule etc.

FWIW I did the free trial a while back over at RealityTrader. It was the room with Bo Yoder. I felt this was a decent room and Bo never "booked" a trade in the log without first asking other room members if they got the trade and what their fill was.

Dude, you are not a loser. We have all done it to one extent or the other. If there is no way to get your money back, shake it off and move on. If you learned a valuable lesson for $4,000, it was worth it - and, a lot more people pay a lot more $$$ to learn the exact same lesson.

A lot more people pay a lot more $$? I don't know about that dude. I probably bought one trading book in my life for like $5 on sale or something only to read something at night before bed. I would rather take that $4000 and try to lose it all, you learn a lot more that way.

I think we would all take that $4000 and do other things with it - that was not the point.

Samson was beating himself up over spending the money, and the point was that if he learned a valuable lesson from it, it was worth it. This thread and ET is filled with numerous people that have spent thousands and thousands and thousands looking for the grail. Most of us are guilty of it at one time or another.

If you have only spent $5, you are in the MINORITY. But, more power to you - congratulations.

By the way - is this you T-REX? Another alias???
