Trader P/L 2014

Tue 03/18: missed the upside morning moves in TF, nothing much else happened all day.

Wed 03/19: FOMC and CL rollover

Thu 03/20: TF and CL were both spike-spastic... meager gains in each

Fri 03/21: In the morning prior to 9am eastern, I was long six (6) CL contracts from blended average of 99.26 and again 99.30s and again 99.40s zones. Each of those trades stopped out in the heavy chop for paltry gains (first position) or net loss (all subsequent positions) before price finally went to 100.20+ as expected.

Had the first long trade held from 99.26 (peaked at 99.45) managed to hold from being chopped, it had +$3,000 to $5,000+ profit potential. But that’s not how CL price action flowed… it was the usual recent wild whipsaws, with an eventual spike-pop from the chop that managed to break the malaise.

Too late for my long-trades efforts, I was already done.

Ten-Session cumulative TF-only results pulled from blotters posted here, after all trade costs subtracted...

My attempts to diversify trades across different symbols don't work as planned. Current market action demands my singular focus and that's it. All symbols, including (and perhaps especially) CL are chopped, spiky and prone to abrupt v-turns either direction. A ten-day test of results in actual market conditions with real money results tells me everything needed to know for myself :)

week 3/17 to 3/21

that little reversal on friday cost me a lot. i would have banked an incredible week even on flat es close..but in any case i still made great money by anyone's measure.

i hope other ET traders are enjoying the market swings for profit.

Net: +1,218

Swing trade over the weekend. I keep making rookie mistakes!! I should have been up even more around +1400 to 1500 by waiting for the chart signals.. however I was giddy like a little girl and I ended up selling immediately at market open.

My sale was actually the "Low" price transaction of the day for a while. :(
