Trader P/L 2014

it is a "block" designation for two of my accounts. one can create a number of different block-trade accounts according to size and risk parameters, link them together, trade them apart from one another, etc.

very flexible platform when it comes to managing various accounts

So atticus are you implying Austin p's account is a demo?

I took that as a serious question only. It'd be easy enough for me to show the account balance if I chose. Secondly, to my knowledge you cannot rename a demo or a cash account at all... the only account "names" you can designate are block-trade setups once permissioned to do so by the clearing firm for real-money accounts.

That's my limited understanding of how OEC works. The reason I'm using it at all is for multiple accounts operation and the flexibility offered there.

I meant it seriously. I like the idea of being able to name my accounts. I often have to choose an account from the iPad or phone app and can't recall from the list which one I would like to use.

well anyways, here is one of the component accounts in that block from today. First two digits of account are visible in four places (red boxes) and the resulting dollar gains after all costs.

I am preparing for a project which involves taking a very modest account gradually larger thru a period of time this year. Working on the logistics of TF only, ES only or both symbols combined. Right now I am focused on TF primarily and ES oh-by-the-way second to that. Next week onward I'll be equally focused in both.

I use both platforms, have used NT since around 2005 and continue to now. I do like GZT very much, it has some nice features such as running P&L on each strike (potential gain or loss) of open trades which is especially helpful for trade management when blending multiple entries.

Both are good platforms, I do also like GZT a lot.

This was the swing trade from last Thursday that I mentioned. Very glad that I stuck to my game plan even though I was holding substantial losses at one time (at least substantial to me :D).

Continued to average down yesterday just after the stock broke the recent resistance level, and happy I did not repeat my previous mistake of waiting too long to take profits, as the stock sold off shortly after.

It's not red! My break was very refreshing. I'm ready to return to trading with some plan modifications and start heading back in the right direction.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Today I decided to day trade, which I'm pretty terrible at if you review my previous posts. I once again had the right idea, however terrible execution!

I realized that the stock was going to trend downwards today, however me being overexcited and consistently thinking of "potential profits" I could have had, it resulted in me jumping the gun and entering way too early on the pull back (yet again).

Also, I had no business in increasing the amount of contracts I decided to trade.. as I seemingly always believe since it's a "day trade" I should leverage up even though it takes away any averaging down opportunities.

Will stick to the swing trades for now, and paper trade the intra-day swings until I find consistency.
